Students, faculty, staff, and administrators in higher education are invited to participate in WHET’s 2008
Professional Development Conference that will take place at Southwest Tennessee Community College in
Memphis Tennessee on Friday, July 18, 2008. The theme of the conference is “Making the NET Work:
kNowledge, Empowerment, Take action”.
There will be an opening empowerment session as well as concurrent sessions in the morning. A networking
luncheon and a panel discussion will follow. Dr. Karen Weedle-West will be the afternoon keynote speaker.
This event is free for WHET members who pre-register for the conference no later than June 20th. WHET
members who do not pre-register by June 20th will be required to pay $40 to attend the conference. Non-
WHET members can also attend the conference. Non-WHET members should pre-register no later than July
3rd to attend the conference for a nominal fee of only $40. Non-WHET members who do not pre-register by
this time will be required to pay $50 to attend the conference.
